Based on the best selling novel, a clever 10-year-old girl, Annie, must save her family's farm from a greedy landlord. She enlists her adopted stray dog, Runt, who is incredibly fast and agile, to try and win the local and national dog show competitions to fund their efforts to stop foreclosure and end the drought caused by the landlord's dam. The Guardian calls it, "A very charming, heartwarming film. Throughout the runtime I could feel my mouth forming a big silly grin," while The Australian magazine calls it, "A wonderful, uplifting film based on a big-hearted novel about love, friendship, kindness, pride and hope." Admission is Free for ISU students, $2 for ISU staff and $3 for the public.
